Sarika attained her MBBS/ MD degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India in 2007. Thereafter, she joined an anatomical pathology training program at National University hospital, Singapore and was conferred Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath), UK, London in 2013.

She then moved to the United States and went on to obtain dual board certification in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology followed by Fellowship in Cytopathology from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She worked at the University of Iowa for a year before joining Genesis Health System, Davenport, Iowa. Sarika currently resides in Rochester, Minnesota with her family, and likes to spend her free time travelling and exploring new places.
