Dysphagia means difficulty or painful swallowing. In some cases, swallowing may be impossible.

Occasional difficulty swallowing, which may occur when you eat too fast or don't chew your food well enough, usually is not cause for concern. However, if you have persistent dysphagia, it may indicate a serious medical condition.

How is Dysphagia Treated?

Treatment for dysphagia depends on its cause. If you're experiencing difficult or painful swallowing, schedule an appointment with Dr. Bhatti.
